Ein Schülerteam aus der 10ten und 11ten Jahrgangsstufe stellte Fragen über sein Leben. Gottschalk trat, wie im Fernsehn, mit schriller Kleidung auf und antwortete auf Fragen stets mit viel Humor. Bereitwillig erzählte er über seine Kindheit und Familie, seinen Beruf und die Karriere und ließ auch einige Bemerkungen über die Rolle des christliche geprägten Glaubens in seinem Leben fallen.<br /> Beispielsweise berichtete er davon, dass sein Vater schon früh gestorben war und er lernen musste Verantwortung zu übernehmen. In der Schule fühlte er sich in den sprachlichen Fächern am wohlsten, mit Zahlen jedoch konnte er nichts anfangen. Dass er bereits in seiner Kindheit zu Späßen aufgelegt war, zeigt die Geschichte, dass er seine kleine Schwester im Winter auf einer Eisscholle auf dem Kulmbacher Bach ausgesetzt hatte und anschließend wieder rettete.<br /> Im Bereich Karriere erzählte er, dass er es nie vor hatte Fernsehmoderator zu werden, aber es sich schon in der Schule gezeigt hat, dass er für das Moderieren geschaffen war. <br /> Nach der Diskussion stand er noch für Fotos und Selfies bereit und signierte sein neues Buch &quot;Herbstblond&quot;.
